There are two versions of the parka: European and American... The one sold in the US (the one on woolrich.com) for the US market is made in China and differs on a few points from the version sold in Europe which is made in... the US! The European version is imported by an Italian firm called WP Lavori and is in my opinion of a better quality (and more expensive...) I think there are fakes on the market indeed, but comparing them to the ones on woolrich.com is not the way to verify their non-originality...
