For many years I had the absolute best letter carrier on the planet.
He treated everything with kid gloves, always came to the door with packages, rang, handed them to me carefully, sometimes waited for me to open a package if it showed signs of damage prior to being handed off to him.
He had one of the biggest routes in town, so it wasn't because he HAD the time, he MADE the time.
My current letter carrier is good, but sometimes I find packages rammed into my mailbox.
I have an ordinary-sized box and don't want to get a bigger one because the bigger ones attract attention (LOOK AT ME, I'M FOR PACKAGES) and have higher theft rates, but I had bought some 8.5" x 11" printer labels recently and they came in one of those stiff packs that are about 3/4" thick and it was BENT INTO the mail box PLUS there was a Priority Mail flat rate envelope with something fat and round in it crammed in with it. They were jammed in so tight, I couldn't even get them OUT of the mailbox and I'm worried some of the label sheets are ruined (they are bent, but I haven't tried them in the printer yet).
Anyway, to my previous postal worker, thank you, thank you, for EXCEPTIONAL courtesy and customer service.
