DATING ZIPPO BLU INSERTS ETC...a conspiracy theory!

 first off and second most i am aware of how i write and am perfectly fine with it if you dont like it thats your stuff
 heres where i was not long ago as far as the many questions i had and all the rip rap i was learning by reading a bunch of guides etc. like this one written by people that didnt really know what they were writing about like me
(examples of what i was hearing by searching alot and not reading throughly) my zippo blu lighter from 06 doesnt work jims from 05 works fine and why are these marked 05 and 06 on the bottom when zippo blu didnt come out till 2007 zippo wont work on early zippo blu lighters they just send you a regular one to replace them if you send them in for repair etc. etc. etc.
  what i know about zippo blu lighters for a fact from personal experience= i bought one second hand a year and a half ago i dont recall the date code i think it was made in 05 according to bottom date code it worked sometimes i wasnt satisified so i sold it on here with lighter doesnt work correctly in the listing title and explained its erratic behavior in the description
 i bought another one second hand on here a month or so ago it didnt work it was made according to the bottom date code on the case october 2005 i sent it to company (who i have a longtime standing good relationship with that is important or mabey not) they put a new insert in it by taking the security screw out of the bottom that is tamper evident i think they use a compound like loctite or something and can tell if you mess with it which i did not they sent it back to me and it works great another fact zippo is one of the very best companies in the world as far as product and customer service i had never thought about it before but i did earlier this morning prior to writing this artical what was that thought? so i know for a fact that this is the zippo case i sent them, i know they took out the old insert and put in a new one i know zippo puts date codes on more recent zippo inserts and have been since the 80's or so...does this new insert for this zippo blu have a date code...i mean it must right? so i looked and found 2 matching configurations of numbers and letters on the insert they read as follows A1408A so what does that mean?  why all the confusion about zippo blu lighters they came out september 2005 as far as i can tell zippo didnt have a fire and loose all their records like bowers did in 1972 so whats going on?...i will explain if enough people find this guide helpful in a later product review
