Choosing of Your Skateboard Wheels

Hardness
Skateboard wheels usually made in polyurethane - based materials, the hardness of wheels are depending on the proportion of the polyurethane. Hardness of 85A (A refers to the hardness) of the wheel is relatively soft, suitable for rough road glide, glide sound when minimal pedal board is a good choice. However, 85A wheels comparatively do not tend to soft, when skidding like brakes that kind of action is very easy to get broken of the spacer layer. General riders now have 97A-103A wheels, and they are suitable on smooth marble and relatively flat surface, U pool, jumping and other props. Transparent or translucent wheels do not intended to 103A, since too hard and very easy to be busted, it is better using on all the WOOD material props (say wood u pool).

To be able to do the movements with strong power, choosing the right size of the wheels can help you to do the certain type of movements with better power and speed. Say “ground movement” hopes your board the lighter the better, and wheels tend to smaller and lead faster.
38- 40mm wheels not favor for many people nowadays, the wheels start to accelerate fast, but little stamina, suitable for very flat surfaces.
45mm - 50mm wheels, is a better and suitable type on street road.
52 - 60mm wheels are more suitable for using in all  props.
Above 60mm is more suitable than "off-road wheels", which professional skateboarding is skating on the mount road with larger rubber wheels.

Rebound
Wheel rebound is very important although there is no argument/number can be referred, we commonly agree the stronger rebound the better to across the barriers.
If you do not know your wheels rebound performance, you can do a little experiment. Remove the wheel bearings inside; you throw hard to the floor, high rebound wheels will bounce to the ceiling, low rebound wheels only close to the ground and "flopping" for two to couple times.
On a smooth surface road/props, perhaps, rebound is not the key element and, but in the slightly rough roads encountered, the superiority of high rebound wheels can immediately show out.
