I recently bought a watch. When it arrived, I was surprised how heavy the package was. The Seller only charged $7.95, which I found was more than fair. I have been watching a DVD from the U.S. as well. Some of the shipping costs were as high as $15.00. We both know the weight of a DVD in a shipping package is minimal. This is not all Sellers, but quite a few of them. When the package arrives, the shipping label indicates $3.00 or less. What's up?
When I am looking to buy something on eBay, I look at the total cost and decide if I want to pay that. I think we also have to remember that sellers can build the cost of wrapping, packing, boxes etc into either the cost of the item or the handling fee. We do have the option, if we feel the shipping is too high, to move on and find another listing where the price is more to our liking.
