I'm shipping out an item today and bought and printed USPS label

After I got everything packed, I weighed the package and it came in right under the weight I specified. I always like to add a few more ounces just in case, so USPS doesn't send it back to me, or heaven forbid, charge the buyer the extra shipping cost.

My question is can I adjust the weight then reprint the shipping label without having to cancel and then purchase postage again? I have no problem paying the difference, I just don't want my account charged twice for shipping.

No need to trim flaps.  The OP clearly states the actual weight is LESS than the predicted weight.  There's no need to change anything -- it's OK to pay too much.   It's also OK to ADD some weight to the contents to match the postage amount.  A little extra stuffing or reinforcement never hurts!

Otherwise, just void the label and start over.  The refund takes about 10 days to 2 weeks.
