How to Care For And Understand Sterling Silver Nose Studs

I work very hard to meet my customers expectations and maintain high feedback. The great majority of my buyers are very happy with these nose studs. I don’t sell “junk” or “cheap” jewelry. Its all a matter of understanding what you are buying. . .
 
1.        The picture of the nose stud you saw on eBay is not shown as actual size. Its enlarged to show detail per eBay picture requirements. Actual dimensions are noted in the item description. Some buyers are getting confused about this.
 
2.        The manufacturer advertises this nose stud as having a 20ga (.8mm diameter) post, but the post is actually a slightly thinner 22ga (.6mm diameter) which is typical of all mass produced sterling silver nose jewelry. It will fit fine in either a 22ga or 20ga piercing.

The wearable length varies from 5mm to 6mm. Each nose stud has a tiny non-removable ball on the end of the post which is slightly larger than the post itself to help prevent the stud from falling out.
 
3.        Nose studs are not a one-size-fits-all item. Everyone has different nose styles/sizes, piercing sizes  and nostril thickness. If this nose stud does not fit you well, its best to find a stud you have that does fit well and take measurements so you can use that as a guide when shopping for more.
 
4.        Sterling silver is a very soft metal (unlike stainless steel that is much harder) which is why it is able to be formed into all the delicate designs that you see and love. It is easily bent so please handle with care. You should not wear a sterling silver nose stud 24/7 or to bed.
 
5.        There are 2 different setting types used in sterling silver studs - pronged and glued. Glued gems should not be gotten wet as it will tend to degrade the glue faster resulting in lost gems. If you have problems with losing gems easily, try switching to studs with prong-set gems.
