I had letter mail returned and Post Office told me my address label was too fat to the left. Right

I recently had three First Class Letter packages come back to me because the sorting station barcoded them for the return address instead of the recipient address.

The counter clerk said there was nothing wrong with the way I had addressed or labeled them, everything was in the right position. He used a marker pen to black out the barcode and tossed them back in the bin.
