Waterproof LED strip-silicon
tube Except it PCB material is ebcapsulated with silicon jacket. Without self-adhesiveback, water resistant coat (IP-67)
Waterproof LED strip-whole injection
Except it PCB material is encapsulated with plastic GEL at both side. Water resistant coat (IP-68).
The waterproof LED strip has advantages on non-waterproof as following aspects
1) silicon on the surface soften the pointing effect that non-waterproof LED strip might reveal due to distributed LED lighting chip.
2) silicon on the surface will protect your lighting chips from collateral anf fatigue damage during operation. However, to choose between non-waterproof anf waterproof LED strip is a decision that should be made based on your specific needs.
While, non-waterproof strip gets much brighter than waterproof strip.SMD flex LED strip can not afford heary weight on itself during working.
Be sure to use 12V AC /DC power supply to run LED strip since high voltage will damage circuit board in second.
When you need to connect multiple strips together and make them working under same control unit and power
supply, please make sure to connect them in parallel connection, instead of series connection.
Please be aware series can cause problem like color difference between the start and end of strips, and colors
difference between strips as well.
