They know how to say the best things and give great hugs

The power of a two year old. They are small enough to fit inside a Barbie playhouse (well, some of them), and big enough to make a grown woman break down into tears. Here is the best way to keep your wits about you while spending your time with these little geniuses. 1. Don't turn your back-even for a second. If you do, make sure another set of eyes is watching. 2. If you must leave them alone in a room, tell them you can see through walls. 3. Toddlers have immense strength in numbers. You MUST become Alpha and let them know you run the pack. Caesar Milan has great tips on being Alpha. 4. If you want to cry, do. They know how to say the best things and give great hugs. 5. The greatest time of the day can be spent on the floor with them, playing what they want. They will never fail to amaze you and make you laugh. 6. You may not be able to dress them like baby dolls anymore, but give them the chance, and they will show you they have a great sense of style. And yes, you can let them dress the way they want, AND leave the house. It helps to have a closet full of cute clothes to guide their great tastes. ;D 7. Kids need boundaries & rules. They really won't hate you for reinforcing them, but they will learn very quickly if you don't. The rewards from being firm and steadfast far outweigh an out of control two year old. They feel safe when they know they can't rule the roost. 8. Remember, they just might be smarter than you. Or you will think they might be. Cherish that thought, because once they hit the teen years, they will tell YOU they are smarter than you, and you will know they are far from it. 9. If you take the time to see life through their eyes, you will never look at the world the same way again. And I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know.
