Affordable crafting 101 - Fabric, Fabric, Fabric!

Anyone crafter will tell you that crafting is equal parts fun and expensive... That doesn't have to be the case if you plan ahead.  Local craft stores are likely to carry the items you are looking for.  They are a great option for projects that must be completed in a pinch. The problem is they are much more expensive.

In my many years of crafting I have accumulated much more fabric then I could ever use. This is a pretty consistent theme amongst crafters.  At some point we all find ourselves doing some"spring cleaning".

Searching for fabric online is a great way to make a quilt on a budget or find super cool vintage fabric. Some sellers offer bulk lots, where others have "project "left overs".  Take the time to see what you are getting.  Make sure there is enough to cover your entire project and lastly give that fabric a great new home!

The pretty fabric shown above is for sale by  "doris_dotz".  It is a Vintage silk print from Germany!  No way you will find something this cool at the local craft store.  This would make an amazing pillow! The price on this gem is $2.50 with free shipping.
