Air fresheners
There are many ways to personalize your home/ living space to make it unique to you and your guests. Have you ever walked into someones home and it just smelled so good? And every time you smell that scent it reminds you of their home? Well you can get a signature scent for your home like that easily!
They come in many different scents, shapes, sizes, and variations or strength. You can use a lot of scents or if you're sensitive, a little amount. I am going to go through a few ways you can freshen your home.
I'm going to leave the "febreeze" or spray bottle scents out of this guide because that's just an obvious option. although they are a quick fix, they can be too strong and they dont really last that long. Sorry febreeze!
Wax Melts
Wax melts are just what they sound like. they are scented, cubes of wax that you can melt in an electric wax burner, or a ceramic wax burner that uses a little tea candle to warm the melt.
You can buy wax melts from your local department store ("Target", Fred Meyer) or in the cleaning section at your local grocery store. Wax melts are very strong when they're completely melted and tend to linger around even after they've been used so if you're a fan of a long lasting scent, this is for you! They are also a nice pice of decor for your home as well.
Soy Candles
Although you could probably get a soy scented candle, that's not what I'm reffering to. Candles made out of soy wax are a good way to freshen your home because they typically emit a stronger scent compared to regular beeswax candles. You will truly notice the difference once you use a soy wax candle. They can be made with many different combinations of scents! Just visit a home store because they'll be sure to carry soy wax candles and pick one of your choosing. One downside to them is that they burn fast because they are not as thick as beeswax which takes a long time, sometimes even ages to burn out lol. Check out soy wax candles here.
Incense
Now this option is hit or miss. Incense is an aromatic material which releases a scented smoke when burned. Now compared to wax melts and candles, incense is an actual "burning" method of freshening your home. Incense is used for a variety of purposes, including the ceremonies of all the main religions, to overcome bad smells, repel insects, spirituality, aromatherapy, meditation, and for simple pleasure. Now incense may be something for you if you enjoy, earthy and somewhat "perfumy" scents. It is; in my opinion, very relaxing to smell and makes me feel calm.
