How To Remove Gel Nails And My Review On Gel Nails

GEL NAILS!
There has been a lot of talk about gel nails! And people cannot get enough of it! You can purchase your own gel nail kit in your local supermarkets and do it yourself right from the comfort of your own home. I recently finished a semester of school and decided I needed to treat myself and get a manicure by a professional. I decided to splurge and try gel nails for the very first time. I will first explain the procedures on how to remove them and then after offer you my personal opinion on gel nails.

things you will need:
acetone, cotton balls, foil,  and a buffer.

The FIRST STEP is to buffer the top coat of your nail, enough to see no shiny-ness on your nail.

SECOND STEP
You will need to drench the cotton ball with acetone and place the cotton on the foil like as pictured.

THIRD STEP
Place your nail onto the cotton ball and begin to wrap the foil around your finger.

LAST STEP
Now that your finger is wrapped, you will have to be patient and leave the foil on for about 20 minutes and voila, your nail beds will be intact and will not be damaging to your nails. And you can skip the appointment at your local nail salon.
PERSONAL OPINION ON GEL NAILS, IS IT WORTH IT?
Personally, a set of gel nails was $35 including tip, do I find it worth it? No. Many professionals will tell you that it lasts longer and gel nails harden your nails, well yes, it does do those things but I get tired of the color way too fast and your nail grows! The nail polish is eventually going to grow out sooner than 2-3 weeks and I just find it way cheaper to change your nail color without the use of led light or uv light. I find gel nails damaging and too expensive, for this college student, right here, typing this.
