I don't spend my time in an RV. Only because the best spots

There are a few things to do in New Mexico and one of them is spending time in the Jemez mountains.
Before you go, there are a few things you should take with you! Now you should take a few more items than what I have listed, for example, a clean water supply, a medical kit, and sunblock.

When I go camping, I don't spend my time in an RV. Only because the best spots, you have to hike to or you have to have a vehicle that can make some pretty tough terrain. One of the main things you need when camping is a place to stay and call home for the next few days! The tent is so essential, and it's important to have enough room! My boyfriend and I use a four person tent. You want to make sure you have a waterproof tent, just in case of rain!




Another important part  of cam ping is your cooler ! Now in the mountains  you have  several animals that like to get  into coolers. Having a cooler that is bear proof is VERY essential. It's important to make sure you  have enough supplies,  food, and water ! You want to take a cooler that can keep your food fresh, as well as protect you from any animals coming and visiting your campsite in the middle of the night!


Having light at night is also important. Besides sitting by a campfire, you are going to need some kind of light. These lanterns are perfect. We normally have two that we use. They are great for lighting up your s'mores station, or lighting up the tent to get ready for bed!
To prevent forest fires, we use battery charged lanterns, that use the bright LED bulbs.




Another item to take with you when you are camping is your hiking backpack. This should hold a few items. I mainly pack mine with extra clothing, snacks, bottled water and a small emergency medical kit. You can fill yours with extra boots, sun block, or a small flashlight. There are so many possibilities as to what you can fill your bag with!
