I have a buyer with a 2 month old account who is claiming a $80 lotion is fake.

I am an authorized reseller, and this item arrived DIRECT from the manufacturer the day before I shipped it to her.

2.  The item is NOT fake, in fact, there are NO fakes of this item out there.  It's a myth, and a sales point sellers try to make, by saying 100% authentic.  There are NO fakes.  People say there are to try and sell theirs over others, but there are NOT fakes.

3.  The item has a batch number on the bottom which the manufacturer could verify is their own.  If she sent the bottle into them they would also confirm it is their own.  But it's hard to stress the point, there are no replicas of this bottle, or the lotion inside it.

SHe is a prime example of someone stealing.

How do I handle this?I can assure you that your item is genuine and comes from the original manufacturer. However, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, please return it for a full refund.

Regards,
Your Name Here"

You can state briefly that it's genuine, just so you don't look like you're avoiding the question, but realistically, your best bet is to just say that you will refund upon return, and do so. Don't get into a debate.Did you somehow forget that you offer eBay's 14-day return policy? You MUST accept returns for any/all reasons, including buyers' remorse, with NO questions asked. Your buyer can return your items for any reason, so why are you all up in the air?

You ask "what do I do?' You tell them to return the item and once you have it back, you refund the entire amount which includes the original shipping.

Why is your buyer a "prime example of someone stealing?" Did she ask to keep the item and receive a refund as well?

I also don't get the jab at the fact that your buyer has a "2 month old account." So what? Did you, yourself, not have a 2 month old account at some point? If the buyer admits buyer's remorse, the buyer pays return shipping.

But... if the buyer claims SNAD, the seller usually has to pay return shipping (if they don't eBay will sometimes refund out of the seller's money and will sometimes do so before the buyer returns the item).

So, yes, claiming SNAD for something that is not SNAD is sometimes stealing if eBay gets involved and makes a quick refund. Even if eBay doesn't refund, if the seller is pressured into paying for return shipping for fear that eBay might side with the buyer, the seller loses money.

Claiming SNAD when there is no SNAD (and opening a case) also leaves the seller with a defect. If the seller gets suspended for spurious defects then, in the broadest sense, that's stealing too... the seller loses an income stream.

How to Know High End MakeUp is Authentic

The sad fact is, you cannot one hundred percent know your item will be authentic. However, there are steps you can take to make sure they are more likely to be real.
If the price is super low and too good to be true then there is probably a reason. That reason is that is most likely not an authentic product. Cheap knock-offs off high-end brands can be bought from overseas by people who only wish to take your money. These knock-offs are not the quality of the real high-end products even if the packaging does look exactly the same.

MAC and Benefit are often imitated and sold online. I know from experience how easy it is to get ripped off from sellers of fake cosmetics. Remember, rule one: if it is too good to be true, it most likely is.
Be mindful of the country you order high end cosmetic from. Most of the knock-offs seem to come out of Asian countries. If you order them directly from there you are mostly likely ordering fakes. Also, many sellers now put that they ship from the USA in their information but their shipping time says 25 days. This is a red flag to tell you they are not really in the USA or are "drop shipping" from another country. Buyer beware.
Pay close attention to a sellers feedback. Read it. If there is neutral and negative feedback that states the item received was not authentic, rethink purchasing from that seller. Look for sellers who know their products and those who do not sell, let's say benefit, on a massive scale. Look for the seller who has great feedback that may have gotten the item as a gift and does not want it and you are more likely to get an authentic item. For instance, this seller has perfect feedback, does not habitually sell Urban Decay as she is selling right now and is not selling it for an absurdly low price. People like this are your best bet on receiving an authentic high-end makeup item.

MAC Studio Fix is one of the most complete Foundation product ever

I use it about 5 years and i don`t change it for another product because i know its trustful. I don`t like to risk when i`m deciding about healthy, beauty products and things releated to my skin or hair. Its pretty serious to me. I know that its not the cheapest Powder Foundation product but i dòn`t care about that. Trust is very important. MAC is trustful to me. I really wanted to love this. It is way too drying for my skin...and it is much lighter than the liquid of the exact same color. I would definitely suggest getting one shade darker than you are used to in the liquid. But also make sure that you don't have already dry skin, because it does make your face feel tight and dry. I miss the MAC moistureblend! That was my favorite, this was a bad choice for me, personally.

I am a longtime fan of MAC Makeup in general, I have been wearing it almost exclusivly for over 15 years

(I am only 32 so when you do the math, you will realize, I ran onto their company in its infancy during my late teens and have remained a loyal customer ever since! I have tried so many other products and to me nothing comes close to the Studio Fix line that MAC offers. (It is my favorite product above all else and I just cannot live without it!) I have never been disappointed with any other of the hundreds of products that I have purchased from them over the past 15+ years either. I have made a believer out of family and friends as well. Any one who knows me, knows that its MAC or nothing. And yes, MAC is pricey, but during times when you get what you pay for and you need to stretch every dollar you have (and everything else right along with the dollar) MAC provides me with a very long lasting, quality product that has far exceeded all of my expectations. Now how often can you say that about anything? Another fabulous and environmentally friendly aspect of purchasing MAC as opposed to other cosmetic brands, is that MAC allows you to recycle their containers and exchange them for free beauty products! (Save up 6 containers and exchange them for one free lipstick or eyeshadow.) If you have not tried MAC, you truly dont know what your missing, dont be antimadated by the staff, they are all truly caring an talented individuals who will do everything they can to make your MAC experience amazing!

I have super sensitive skin for which finding the right foundation is always a pain

having used brands like MAC, Prescriptives I still had problems with caking and clogging.

Bare Minerals had a steep expectations to beat these top-rated products, after a week of observance it has finally passed the test in flying colors with
Pro's : No clogged pores, no cake layers on my skin, all day long coverage, no oily T zones, Gives a natural glow with sunscreen protection ...u can't beat that
